Region 1
FL-CURE operates with four geographical regions similar to the Florida Department of Corrections. These four regions act together as one organization, but are better able to address the concerns of their local members. Each region will also be better positioned to develop relationships with the regional directors of the Department of Corrections, the local wardens, and local legislators to affect progressive reform within the system. The regions do their own community organizing and public actions according to their opportunities and resources, but continue to act according to the mission statement of FL-CURE and our priority issues.
We are currently looking for individuals to head the regional gatherings of South and Northwest Florida. If you are interested, please contact one of the FL-CURE directors.
